The honey moon!!

Ok so now I will tell you about the honeymoon we had... It was extremely relaxing and perfect. We spent about 4 days up at the condos in East Canyon. We did NOTHING! Well ok we did do some things, but we mostly slept. It felt great to do nothing and just be lazy. The things we did do was the alpine coaster in Park City and walked main street. I think one of my new favorite things to do is look at Art galleries. We went into almost all of the galleries in Park City and it was so much fun. We even got a free piece of art from one of the galleries because we were on our honeymoon. It was super sweet. We also spent some time in Salt lake and went to a movie. That was nothing special but still fun. Then we went to dinner at the Taggerts bar and grill which has amazing food!! It was super yummy!! After that we spent the weekend with our pals in the Unitas. Our friend Brett has a cabin and so we all got to stay there. We went four wheeling, fishing, and had a great time wrapping up our honeymoon!

So I realized that I am probably in the top ten of worst bloggers out there. I always get excited about starting my blog and stay with it for about a week or two and then it just dies. Sorry for those of you who do read this. It’s nice to know it gets some attention sometimes.

Well the wedding plans are almost done. Kinda crazy I only have 17 days until I get to me Nicki Hopkins! How excited am I VERY!! (notice its in all caps too) :) We went to the caters last week and finalized the ice cream, bar. Can I just say I am super excited about that. Also we finally picked a place to have our luncheon. Bucca de Beppos. It will be different and nothing like the other places which will be fun. Plus its pasta who doesn’t like pasta right??

I finally got Zacks ring picked out now I just have to go and get it sized and all that jazzy stuff. Speaking of rings I should probably go and get mine cleaned before the big day. (Add that to list)

I got to go and do my bridals a couple weeks ago and that was way fun because I got my hair done and had a pre-bride moment. It was fun. One thing that I am very proud about is I ended up making my own veil! It wasn’t as hard as I thought it was, plus it made me look into the future as if my daughter would want to use it. (probably not ) but it'll still be fun to show her that I made it.

Anyway Zack and I get our keys to our townhouse this weekend and I can finally start moving some of the presents over there because my aunts shed and my bedroom are getting pretty full!

Well that about wraps up the last month. Only 17 days to go!! Whoot whoot!!

Summer!

We are so excited that summer is finally here! Now we can start playing volleyball and other outdoor games. Also we can actually start getting excited about the wedding! I was telling myself to not start counting down the days until it was as least summer! So now I am letting myself start the count down. only 63 more days, or 2 months and 2 days, however you want to count it. : ) My aunt Joy said she'll make me a paper chain once it gets down to about 40 days. Then I can start pulling the chains off. I know sounds kiddish but I am excited to be known as Mrs. Hopkins! I am so glad I found the love of my life! Whoot whoot. The best part is I get to spend eternity with him!! YES! Alright enough gushy stuff.

Wedding plans are slowly but surely coming along. We have been paying a lot of attention on where were going to be living! I think we might have found a place but I cant tell yet till its official.... sorry. And we have started the yard work for the reception! So it is all coming along!

One year anni!

SO I know I am probably the worst blogger ever! Sorry, life just keeps getting in the way. I will do my best to keep it more up to date!

Well This past weekend Zack and celebrated our one year of dating! Whoa! one year already! Sadly I was not actually here because I was my way home from a family vacation. 9 days apart. Tell you what I'll never be doing that again!! However we did get to hang out the following day and do a little celebrating. Good thing is I still love him to pieces! I cant wait to be able to spend eternity with him!

Anyway a little update on wedding stuff. We got the temple date and time booked, my wedding dress is almost complete with alterations and everything. Got the food, colors, tuxs (almost) and invitations picked out. So things are all coming together quite smoothly. However I am only doing this once because its a little stressful I must say!

Zack birthday

I know this is a little over a week late but its better late then never right?? So on April 17th it was Zack's birthday! I got tickets to the last Jazz game and we went to late and then on. The weather was decent going into the game but by the time we got out it was POURING rain! By the time we got back to the car we were both soaked! My coat was dripping wet! And the cold wind didnt help either. But it was still really fun. Both Zack and I lost our voices for the night. And the best part is the jazz won!!




Sunday went over to his parents house and had a very nice dinner and hike with his family. Sadly, earlier that week his Grandma Hopkins passed away. On a happy note his sister Summer and her husband Jordan came down for the funeral but also got to be here for Zack's birthday! So baby I hope you had a great birthday!! I love ya tons!

The end of school

So I know I haven't been very good at updating this blog, but know that school is over and I now have some free days I get to plan a wedding, make housing arrangements, and spend loads more time with a very cute boy! I am mostly excited to be spending more time with my best friend Zack!! (The cute boy, if you didnt catch that) : )

Wedding plans have been put on hold since finals and all. However school is done for the summer and now I will be able to enlighten everyone with the upcoming details. Ever since I found the dress I dont really know what the next step is. Does anyone have any suggestions? I got the colors and location picked out. I guess my next step would be to find a photographer huh? Ok, maybe I do know whats next.

Anyway summer is slowly starting to begin and this makes me very excited to whip out the short and flip flops! The end.

The dress!

Well guys and girls I have found the perfect dress for me! It is very different from your original wedding dress but hey that me right?

I would post some pictures but then that would defeat the purpose of not letting the groom (I like saying that "groom" heehee) see it before the wedding so I will try my best to describe.

First off it is T length and gets longer in the back. Cap sleeves, and a U shaped neck line-ish.There are cute pleats and a flower from the bust line up. Oh and the best part about this dress is it has.... POCKETS!! Yup sure does. I fell in love with it from the moment I laid eyes on it, to the moment I tried it on. It is the kind of dress that just screams Nicki! I am excited to wear it! I have to get some alterations done first then it will be all ready for the big day!! Yippee!!
